Impermanence
I realize on an intellectual level that life is impermanent and that things are always in flux, but at an emotional level I still cling to stability and predictability. Anything could change at any moment - the micro level of detail is always changing even though the macro level may seem stable. Constantly changing chemicals in the brain are precursors for emotions, thoughts, and energies. How does one manage this complexity? Should we even strive for this level of management? I don't think so - accept this impermanence, embrace each moment regardless of the effect. We have been taught so much to embrace things we like and avoid things we don't like. That is a fallacy that needs to be uprooted.
